GORDON EUBANKS JOINS Oakley Networks BOARD OF DIRECTORS SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Feb. 6, 2006 – Oakley Networks, Inc., the leader in information leakage detection and prevention, today announced that security pioneer Gordon Eubanks has joined the company’s board of directors. A 25-year veteran of the technology industry, Eubanks served as the president and chief executive officer of Symantec Corporation for fifteen years. Under his leadership, Symantec evolved into one of the world’s most prominent software companies. After Symantec, Eubanks served as president and chief executive officer of Oblix, Inc., where he developed a small start-up into one of the leading players of enterprise identity management and web access solutions until its acquisition by Oracle Corporation in March 2005. “Organizations are custodians of vast amounts of valuable and regulated information -- including customer data, intellectual property, and corporate financial information,” said Oakley Networks board member Gordon Eubanks. “The only way to effectively protect this information is to establish and enforce insider threat policies within the enterprise. Among the companies successfully meeting this critical security requirement, only Oakley Networks offers a total coverage solution, securing all major communication applications from instant messenger to printers.” “We are honored that Gordon has joined our Board of Directors,” said Oakley Networks co-founder and CEO, Derek Smith. “Gordon brings decades of leadership and operational experience coupled with a deep knowledge of the evolving security landscape. His perspective will be a valuable contribution to Oakley Networks’ success as we deliver our solutions to the enterprise market.” Oakley Networks SureView™ protects critical data by providing real-time policy alerts of potential data leaks from all major applications including eMail, WebMail, Instant Messaging, Web Browsers, MS Office, Clipboard, File System, USB Storage, CD and DVD writers. The system can also alert based upon output to printers, and it is uniquely able to alert, even when data is encrypted (SSL,PGP, S/MIME). Upon detection SureView provides the enterprise with the ability to immediately determine the context of the potential data leak using the company’s patent-pending SurePlay™ replay feature. SurePlay allows the enterprise to understand the context of the alert– so that quick determinations can be made about whether an incident involves acceptable usage or nefarious activity.
